Something's Fishy

When you're 57 years old, are you too OLD to dress up for Halloween?
a
I painted fish on our face(s). We traveled across town giving "kissing performances".

a
The fish looked better in the dark. (The camera flash destroyed the affect.)
a
He opened his mouth wide showing teeth... transforming into a Piranha as I appeared to swim innocently into his mouth.
a
The day I marry a Senator, this picture will re-surface.
aa
I don't know anyone who would allow me to paint a fish on his cheek and then, gleefully, agree to take the show "on the road. You need to enjoy the spotlight.  He does.
a
The link below is my Halloween e-card. Go ahead, click on it. Watch me slap my butt as a werewolf.  It's wholesome family fun!

Don't tell him I said this, but he looks much better with hair, even if it is Eddie Munster hair! And your fish! Very creative, and Dr. Seuss-ish, which is to say: genius!

Juliette - Everyone looks better with hair. Those who can maintain your interest, without it, are the ones to keep your eye on.

As you get older you realize that the exterior means less and less because... it dissapears.

What you are left with is character you can understand, a sence of humour you want to be a part of...and bacon.

Okay. That was wierd. But I love bacon.

That looks like the "King". It looks like you were having a lot of fun. That is about the best idea I have seen for Halloween! Life is strange with it's twists and turns I wonder what the two of you are going to come up with for New Years Eve???????????????????? I am wishing you the best!

Hi Charmaine! This is the neatest halloween idea I've seen in a while! Thanks for stopping by. The piece you asked about is Vivaldi (Adagio Sonata for Oboe and Bassoon). And as far as a meme goes, the best I can tell it's a weekly/monthly/whatever event held regularly by a blogger. Hope that helps. Kathy

I connected to your blog through another blog.

This is very cool the fish painting idea. I am picturing where a person would go to do these performances in S. Orange County. Roys? the fish place no.... Hmmm The Ritz on PCH... not sure. Downtown Laguna Beach? That seems ideal.....

Great photo

Did that horrible green paint give you a rash? I was wondering where and how you got that stuff, looks like something from "The Creature from the Black Lagoon".
