I'm having a person of the male persuasion over for dinner tonight. (I NEVER do that.)
My place is so small and kitchen so inadequate...
I turned a perfectly good bowl of Bolognese into Manicotti. This way I could introduce two (2) extra pounds of cheese. (My blood cholesterol felt like it was dipping below 300, I was feeling faint.)
Let's call him; "Mystery Man". He did a few tasks around the house. To repay him I am going to clog his arteries.
Menu
Arugula Salad with sizzled prosciutto, Gorgonzola and red onion
Test salad with lettuce from the garden. The last time I tried that lettuce it tasted like chicken manure.) What does chicken manure taste like, you ask?
Don't ask.
French Bread
Manicotti
Red Wine
Shit, I forgot dessert. ah. What should I make for dessert?
There had better BE dessert or I know whose gonna be ON the menu.

Get some Chocolate Cheesecake that is already made! Yummy stuff chick!!
Oh I dunno, sorbet, berries, chocolate, strawberries. That's what I'd like right now.
Fresh papaya (preferably the smaller variety which has a richer taste -- or so I believe, anyway -- rather than the larger ones) and blueberries in heavy cream with Guatemalan coffee.
(Blackberries can work, as well, although the domestic ones I've been able to get lately are pretty seed-heavy unlike the more desirable Mexican varieties I was getting earlier. Raspberries are okay, too, but not as good as the blueberries.)
It never fails. Trust me.
"It never fails."
Of course, that all depends upon what you want to happen after dessert is finished. Let's face it: there's something so, so, stimulating about the warm flesh of the papaya releasing its sweet juices when caressed firmly by a knowledgeable and appreciative tongue . . . .
On second thought, maybe you just want Jello. Plain.
Cheesecake, good idea yes!!!!
Also, some gummy bears afterwards. He will love you forever!
I'm comin over for dinner! Set a place!
Damn... I'd go for some of that chocolate cheesecake right now...
And if that's what you get for doing a few things around the house... I'll be right over! :P
All you need for desert is a can of whipped cream, know what I mean?!!! ;)
