Friday Night

What does a girl do without a date on a Friday night?
Cook a giant tureen of Bolognese Sauce.

It's comfort food I crave. It always looks better then it is in the end. Kind of like my relationships. You put in all this effort, you just know it's gonna be great and then...it's just okay.

It's the kind of food you can give your kids. If you want to begin clogging their arteries early. This particular recipe called for unique ingredients like, milk.

About now you should be starting to realize this is not actually, my hand. It's Pastor Ryan's hand. He's covered in tattoos and loves his wife. (Can't judge people based on tattoos.)
Don't forget to make a little crevice for the tomato paste directly on the heat. (It helps remove the "tinny" taste.)

This called for Worcestershire Sauce. Weird.

Ryan’s Bolognese Sauce
1 1/2 cups grated carrots, 1 large red onion diced, 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 pounds ground beef, 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes CORRECTED: OREGANO flakes, 2 tablespoons dried basil flakes, 1 6-ounce can tomato paste, 5 cloves garlic minced, 1 to 2 cups red wine, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire, salt pepper, 2-28-ounce cans whole tomatoes, 1 cup milk, Fresh Parmesan

It's meaty. Like I like my men. (giggle)

Yeeeee... too many of the foul tomatoes for me.

But if you like your men meaty... :lech:

LL - Tomatos are not foul.

BTW...what does "lech" actually mean?

Milk isn't an odd ingredient for this recipe, but Worcestershire sauce is something new.

Sounds good. I often put a little fresh nutmeg.
