Charmaine, here are a few things for you..

I didn’t want my picture taken because I was going to cry. I didn’t know why I was going to cry, but I knew that if anyone spoke to me, or looked at me too closely, the tears would fly out of my eyes and the sobs would fly out of my throat and I’d cry for a week.
–Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar

Remember talking about this book? You should read it.

A few quotes you may relate to right now.

It is as if my life were magically run by 2 electric currents: joyous positive and despairing negative—whichever is running at the moment dominates my life, floods it.
–Sylvia Plath

I tell you: one must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star! –Friedrich Nietzsche

Melancholy men, of all others, are the most witty.

Thanks for your insightful remarks. I read The Bell Jar a couple of times as well as a biography. Did you know that Sylvia Plaths husband destroyed some of her last writings?

Since my Uncles were psychiatrists, at one time I thought I might like to be, I was fascinated by the book and the tragic shock treatments sustained by Plath and practised by my very successful Uncle Michael who was chief resident of Pscychiatry at one of most well known hospitals in the nation. Go figure. That's when I learned that being sucessful or being a phsiycian, didn't make a person "right".

I have enough crazy well educated old birds in my family to know that a moment of depression sometimes afflicts the thoughtful.

We live in a world that wants to keep people from "feeling" their feelings. And THAT is insane. It does not, however, sell drugs.

I feel like we are talking inside our own little secret post. The post that said nothing.

We are, thats why I did it....I saw the opening, thats what I do. My god father, uncle Jack was a dual PHD,
Psychiatrist and Psychologist he used to travel the country setting up facilities for the feds in rural areas.

He was how I ended up sailing in Nova Scotia...Lol..

I just feel a certain kinship with you, and I was a little concerned. I feel how deep your soul runs. I really do, so I figured I would throw those those quotes out there for you.

When you commented on my favorite books you kind of brushed over "The Bell Jar" so I thought you may not have read it. I should have known better.

and yeah fuck her husband....LOL.....but hey that's just me...

be well, just know that you have a friend.

It's fun in here.

It's like we're in a tiny bubble with no infiltrators.

No fellow bloggers begging you to be thier boyfriend. In the blog entry that said were the only visitor. :-)

JIMSIGHT said...

Or they start conversing about times long ago and far away...LOL>..the who for example.

Yes nice in the bubble for sure..

Charmaine said...

Wasn't there a movie called "Bubble Boy" starring John Travolta?

JIMSIGHT said...

I think that was "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble"

I think "Bubble Boy" was a spoof of same...

So you feeling better? I am starting to come out of my manopause a little...

Charmaine said...

Yes I'm feeling better. There is nothing like a quasi marriage proposal to give a girl a boost.(Except when he almost cried. It broke my heart.) He's scruffy, uneducated but kind and generous and he loved me.)

He also wanted to tell me, "Charmaine, you KNOW I would have done anything for you. There is not a single thing you could have asked for that I would not have given you."

"Facelift?" I replied.

JIMSIGHT said...

a. You don't need a face lift
b. It so sounds like he has a great spirit and heart, but I doubt you led him on, so that is his fantasy and sad as that is, fantasy's usually lead to tears.
c. We just may be the same person, who knows. We never gave it a chance, but I don't force issues. Well maybe occasionally...otherwise I would not keep trying to reach you, yes?
d. I am very happy to hear you are feeling better.
e. No one has asked, up front for me to marry them, but I am sure Fancy was heading that way.

keep the bubble talking to you on the phone.

Bubble Boy,

Seriously, I am loving our secret bubble. Do you think anyone will find it? Don't let any clues slip.

I don't to have to smack down another 25-year old Lolita in here.

Did Amanda tell you what I said to her in her blog? She deleted my post. (It wasn't about you). According to Jessica, Amanda was looking for "fatherly" advice from you.

"Please please be my boyfriend" is not how women generally address a father figure. Amanda already has two (2) fathers.

Seriously Jim, what where you thinking?

How much do you know about Amanda? I know plenty.

I like the bubble too, I don't think it will be discovered, especially now that you have a new post up to hide it even deeper.

What was I thinking about what, introducing Spicy to my trainer? Cause that was all I was doing, I invited you to go too if you remember? I know short term memory isn't your strong suit lately but I believe the invite is in print somewhere.

I think 42 is the absolute youngest this buzzard would consider dating. (I need common memories)

I am fairly certain that the "boyfriend" remarks were jokes all the way around.

Oh and I actually read the comment before she deleted it, actually told her that I agreed with a large portion of what you said, I may have been a little kinder but hey we have different styles.

I gave you a clue in one of my comments that I had read it, I believe you referred to me as "JOE BLOW" LOL....but maybe I was reading between the lines.

Charmaine said...

You read it?

I was implementing the "Scared Straight" program.

Yes, well I'm certain you could have introduced them without paying for the session. Truly it is not my business. I've decided to stop sticking my head into other peoples business.

I had another post that would have blown her mind. I realized that she is not interested in my opinion and that I should stop.

If she loses Tim by sleeping around, she will regret it for the rest of her life. It's like watching someone stand in the middle of tracks and a train is coming. You just want to push them out of the way. If it was me, I'd like someone to at least try.

JIMSIGHT said...

Hey Bubble Girl,

Yes I read it, I got your point for sure. I know I lost years some years that I could have been with Joanne because we both had our "non-commital we might bbe able to find someone more perfect phase". (big waste of time)

Oh, I told both spicy and you that the bootcamp would have been my treat..I was just being nice, it was just a freindly gesture. Maybe I should rethink that when dealing with kids aye?

I was very clear when I told her that I didn't have info on her status with Tim so I was only qualifed to give advice with respect to my own experience of standing on the railroad tracks....

Sometimes we all need a little push, first reaction to the push might be to push back but at least your point was made. Maybe she will revisit your thoughts when her head is more clear.

Bubble Boy over and out.
